Advanced Flexible Composites, Inc., founded in 1988, is a manufacturer of high temperature resistant fabric made from teflon-coated fiberglass and kevlar. The company sells its products through distributors and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) under the trade names DuraFab®, DuraFlow®, DuraSil®, DuraStick®, DuraLam® and DuraChef®. The company designs and manufactures PTFE and silicone coated & laminated fabrics. The Company’s fabrics offer unique characteristics of elease, durability, tear resistance, anti-static, porousness and dielectric strength. Other products include conveyor belting, and pressure sensitive tapes. In 2003, the Company expanded their capacity by purchasing a 22,000 square foot facility on two acres across from their existing plant located in Lake in the Hills, IL (McHenry County). The total project was $5,500,000 and created 40 jobs.
