Seneca Grain Co. is a grain elevator in Seneca, IL (LaSalle County). In 2001, the Company built a two million annual bushel capacity grain elevator at the River Terminal. The parent company was created in 1962 and began as a fertilizer retailer with one of the first hot mix plants in the country and soon added a grain dealership. By 1982, the Company’s grain operation had grown to 5 million bushels of storage capacity and had completed work on a new high capacity grain loading and unloading facility. The operating divisions handle grain, fertilizer and application services and manufactures specialty turf products. The total project was $3,500,000 and created 8 jobs.
