GE Plastics is a manufacturer of ABS plastic products by melting latex plastic through dies into a water bath that is then cut into pellets. In 1998, the company installed a mega-extruder, pelletizer, conveyor and collection system at their Ottawa, IL (LaSalle County) facility, that produces over 100 million pounds of plastic per year. GE Plastics is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Electric Company (GE).
The Project closed in 1998.
